new Product Design & Development
As a key member of the new product development team leading design innovation and intellectual property strategies, my role included collaboration to identify market need, product concept, concept design, SWOT analysis, budgeting, stage gate, prototype, intellectual property, channels to market, marketing plan, launch.)
Below are a few visual examples of various steps of the product development process that each product went through as it moved through our stage gate system. This process would involve problem solving design and engineering and would often lead to innovative and novel features or embodiments of the products that would then lead to design or utility patent filings to secure the intellectual property.

Universal Pole Base-This innovative pole base design was developed to provide universal bolt connections for a wide range of light pole bolt patterns. Shortened production schedules, faster installation, same day lights on, were some of the benefits over existing products. The new design resulted in new and novel features leading to multiple successful patent applications being filed and granted for various embodiments of the design.

Grease Interceptor System-A unique and novel design for a grease interceptor system requiring innovative vision to solve problems with existing prior art devices. The new design virtually eliminates disruptive flows from water inflow, thereby allowing all solids to settle while minimizing disturbance to the layer of accumulative FOG (fats, oils, and grease), which greatly minimizes downstream contamination. this collaborative product development process resulted in several new and novel features leading to a successful patent application being filed and granted for multiple embodiments of the design.

Pad Drainage Collection System-This innovative design for a transformer pad drainage collection system resulted in several new and novel features leading to a successful patent application being filed and granted.

concept Design
Below are examples of new product concept designs. The first image represents a medical tube/line management system that allows for organization and management of multiple medical related tubes, lines or cables.

This design demonstrates a laptop having double sided central display screens while further having recessed double sided pivoting pocket screens that nest within the central screen.
